23-Year-Old Man Killed, One Injured in Auto Accident on Phelps Avenue
FRESNO, CA (July 18, 2022) – Sunday morning, Edgar Ayala Saldana sustained injuries in a crash near New Coalinga Municipal Airport.
The fatal collision happened around 1:00 a.m., on July 10th near Phelps Avenue. However, the circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of an off-road vehicle lost control and overturned. Upon impact, the driver suffered serious injuries and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
In addition, 28-year-old Saldana suffered moderate injuries.
Crews closed the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still currently underway. Once available, more information will be provided.
