Cypress Man Dies in Traffic Accident near Carmenita Road

SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (June 27, 2022) – 30-year-old Christopher Prudente lost his life in a multi-car crash on 5 Freeway, Wednesday morning.

The accident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on southbound 5 Freeway near Carmenita Road.

Furthermore, responding officers located one man dead at the scene. CHP later identified the man as 30-year-old Prudente of Cypress.

Moreover, the police have not yet released the circumstances leading up to the accident involving a black sedan and two other vehicles.

Meanwhile, authorities closed the area for several hours to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, officials have no information on what caused the collision, however, an active investigation is ongoing.
