Rider Killed in Motorcycle Crash on 91 Freeway [Riverside, CA]

Motorcyclist Fatally Struck in Deadly Accident near Van Buren Boulevard

RIVERSIDE, CA (June 23, 2022) – A motorcycle crash on 91 Freeway claimed the life of a motorcyclist, Tuesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly incident happened around 7:40 a.m. on the westbound 91, just east of Van Buren Boulevard.

Furthermore, the investigators said the motorcyclist was traveling at about 65 mph along the white lines between the HOV and No. 1 lanes.

However, his handlebar clipped the back of a Jeep Latitude causing him to lose control. Afterwards, an officer said that an RTA commuter bus was unable to stop and struck the motorcyclist as well.

Eventually, the Riverside Fire Department paramedics arrived and declared the rider dead at the scene. Although, their identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile the bus driver, who was the sole occupant of the bus, did not sustain any injuries as well as the occupants of the Jeep.
