Traffic Accident on North Riverside Avenue Left One Dead, Juan Cordova Injured
FONTANA, CA (June 13, 2022) – Wednesday evening, a DUI crash on North Riverside Avenue claimed the life of 40-year-old Priscilla Hernandez.
According to the police, the incident happened around 9:15 p.m. in the 300 block of North Riverside Avenue.
Investigators said 38-year-old Richard Madrid driving a black 2018 Mercedes C63 traveled northbound at a high rate of speed.
At the same time, a 2011 Chevy HHR driven by Juan Cordova approached eastbound with his passenger Hernandez.
The two vehicles collided and left Hernandez with fatal injuries while Cordova sustained significant injuries and is now in stable condition.
Meanwhile, medical responders transported Madrid to a local hospital for treatment minor injuries.
Afterward, officers booked him into West Valley Detention Center with the bail set at $2.5 million.
Officials claimed that Madrid previously had four DUI-related convictions.
