21-Year-Old Man Dies in Fiery Auto Accident on Woodrow Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 10, 2022) – A fiery crash on Oildale Drive claimed the life of Jerry Wayne Criss early Monday evening.
The crash involving multiple vehicles happened in the 500 block of Woodrow Avenue Monday around 5:20 p.m.
For reasons unknown, Criss lost control of his vehicle and struck a fence after hitting several cars. Due to the impact of the collision, the vehicle became engulfed in flames.
Officers stated that 21-year-old Criss died at the scene due to his extreme injuries.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the passenger to a nearby hospital for further treatment of unspecified injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
At this time, an active investigation is currently underway. Additional information will be updated once made available to the public.
