Driver Hospitalized after DUI Accident near East Howell Avenue

ORANGE, CA (June 17, 2022) – Authorities arrested one driver following a DUI crash on East Katella Avenue, late Friday evening.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to the 2400 block of East Katella Avenue around 10:45 p.m.

According to reports, the 55-year-old driver of a blue Ford F-250 sideswiped another vehicle in the area before crashing into a home.

Paramedics rushed the driver to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Fortunately, the house had no occupants at the time as it was deemed uninhabitable and red-tagged.

Orange police officers later arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI. Meanwhile, an active investigation is still underway.
