Unidentified Victim Injured in Big-Rig Collision on Merced Avenue

BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 17, 2022) – Late Friday morning, at least one victim sustained injuries in a semi-truck accident on Zerker Road.

The incident happened around 10:44 a.m., near the intersection of Merced Avenue and Zerker Road.

According to reports, a semi-truck carrying almond hulls turned on its side, collided with another vehicle and spilled its contents onto the highway. However, further events leading up to the crash remain unclear.

Medical personnel arrived and transported one person to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
