One Dead, One Hospitalized after Head-On Accident on Northern Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (June 6, 2022) – Wednesday morning, one person was killed and another was injured in a head-on collision on 31st Avenue.
The incident occurred around 4:15 a.m., at the intersection of 31st Avenue and Northern Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
Preliminary investigations stated that an eastbound SUV drove over the center line and struck a westbound sedan head-on. Both drivers suffered injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital.
Due to the extent of their condition, medics later pronounced the sedan driver deceased. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
No further details regarding the collision are public at this time; however, more information will be provided once made available.
