Suspect Arrested after Fatal DUI Collision near Nice-Lucerne Cutoff
LAKE COUNTY, CA (June 2, 2022) – 28-year-old Amy Maurie Walker-Allen was killed early Sunday morning, in a DUI crash on Westlake Road.
The accident happened around 12:50 a.m., when a northbound 2017 Honda made an unsafe turn on Westlake Road. As a result, the vehicle veered off the road.
The vehicle traveled down a grassy embankment before hitting a driveway and a wire fence. The passenger, Walker-Allen died at the scene after suffering from fatal injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver, identified as 27-year-old Adryan J. Segura sustained major injuries. Officers later arrested Segura for DUI before being transported to a hospital for treatment.
Medics transported him to Sutter Lakeside Hospital’s landing zone before he was eventually airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
Lake County Officials continue to investigate the DUI crash.
