Matthew Galea Involved in Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Highway 49
SUTTER CREEK, CA (May 26, 2022) – Tuesday evening, Dylan Yoacham sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Valley View Way.
The incident occurred around 8:35 p.m., near Highway 49. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
According to reports, Yoacham was crossing the street when Matthew Galea struck him and attempted to flee the scene. Paramedics arrived and immediately transported Yoacham to a center for treatment.
The 15-year-old teen was hit by a car and taken to a trauma center in Sacramento where he later died. Police said Galea tried to run from the scene, before police later arrested him.
No further details have been provided. At this time, officials continue to investigate the collision.
