ASU Football Player Charged for DUI after Pedestrian Collision on Minnezona Avenue

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (May 10, 2022) – Early Saturday, Norah Bruther was killed and Stanley Lambert was arrested after a crash on Camelback Road.

The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m., near the intersection of Camelback Road and Minnezona Avenue.

According to reports, the female pedestrian was attempting to cross Camelback Road when Lambert struck her.

Paramedics pronounced 23-year-old Bruther, of New Jersey dead at the scene. Scottsdale police said she was visiting and staying in the area near where the collision occurred.

Meanwhile, officers arrested 22-year-old Lambert on DUI related charges before he was later released. Police say additional charges are possible.

Lambert did not respond to NBC News requests for comment on Monday. Lambert is listed as a redshirt senior defensive lineman from San Antonio, Texas on ASU’s football roster. It is not clear if he has legal representation.
