Driver Arrested after Car Chase Ends in Crash on Crenshaw Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 9, 2022) – Tuesday, a pursuit crash on Crenshaw Boulevard left Connie Rodriguez and Huy Ly injured.
The incident happened on May 3rd, when a driver involved in a midday robbery at a T-Mobile store in Commerce started a pursuit with the police.
According to reports, the suspect driver fled in a Mercedes-Benz SUV, speeding down the 105 Freeway.
The suspect then proceeded through a neighborhood on Crenshaw Boulevard before colliding with a white sedan after several turns. However, the suspect driver did not stop and later collided with another vehicle near 173rd Street.
Responding medics arrived and treated minor injuries to Connie Rodriguez, the driver of the white sedan, and her passenger, Huy Ly.
Officials later apprehended the suspect driver. Although, authorities did not release the names of the arrested suspects.
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident and will release additional information once available.
