One Dead after Fatal Car Accident on State Route 78 [Vista, CA]
Unidentified Victim Dead after Auto Collision near Emerald Drive
VISTA, CA (April 25, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, one unidentified victim was killed in a fatal car accident on State Route 78.
The accident occurred around 3:00 a.m., near the Emerald Drive on-ramp to State Route 78. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
At this time, the events leading up to the deadly incident remains unclear. However, first responders arrived and determined that one unnamed victim died as a result of the accident.
It is also unknown whether the victim died at the scene or at a nearby hospital. Once the victim’s loved ones have been notified, officials will release their identity.
Officers do not know what caused the fatal accident on State Route 78 at this time, but an active investigation is underway. Vista Police will issue updates as soon as they become available.
