John Manahan Dies in Minibike Accident on Mason Avenue [Chatsworth, CA]
61-Year-Old Man Killed in Traffic Collision on North Mason Avenue
CHATSWORTH, CA (April 18, 2022) – Tuesday evening, a minibike accident on Mason Avenue left 61-year-old John Manahan dead.
According to the L.A. Fire Department, the collision happened around 8:25 p.m., in the 1200 block of North Mason Avenue.
For reasons under investigation, the rider of the minibike struck an SUV along the road. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the minibike rider dead at the scene.
Eventually, responding paramedics identified the victim as 61-year-old Manahan.
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV did not sustain any injuries and stayed at the scene for investigation.
Authorities recorded no other injuries from the crash. In addition, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
Moreover, the circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear at this time.
