Chase Wilson Fatally Strikes Josefa Blandon in Pedestrian Crash on G Street [Merced, CA]
Merced Police Officer Hit and Kills 82-Year-Old Woman on 16th Street
MERCED, CA (April 14, 2022) – Thursday night, 82-year-old Josefa Blandon was fatally hit by officer Chase Wilson on G Street.
Around 10:00 p.m., police officer Wilson, struck Blandon in a marked patrol car as she was walking in the area. Upon impact, Wilson stopped his vehicle.
Paramedics responded shortly after and pronounced Blandon dead at the scene. The loved ones of Blandon set up a GoFundMe page to help with costs during this difficult time.
In addition, reports indicate that Wilson currently remains on paid administrative leave, with no charges filed against him after the fatal collision.
