Suspect Arrested after Pursuit Collision near Valencia Boulevard

SANTA CLARITA, CA (April 14, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, authorities arrested Vue Xiang after a pursuit crash on Lyons Avenue.

Initially, the incident occurred near Valencia Boulevard and Interstate 5. The chase ended just after 3:00 a.m., when the suspect collided with a sheriff’s patrol vehicle.

At the time, crews were responding to a separate call to assist the Burbank Police about a stolen Chevy Silverado. Upon response, a silver Honda Odyssey crashed into their vehicle.

After the impact, the Honda occupants attempted to flee the scene on foot before deputies located and detained them. The driver, identified as 31-year-old Xiang, sustained no injuries.

However, the two passengers sustained critical injuries. Authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.

Officials later arrested Vue Xiang, who already had a warrant for his parole violation. Officers also discovered eight catalytic converters, a saw, and a jack in the suspect’s vehicle.

At this time, an active investigation into the pursuit collision is still ongoing.
