Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near 28th Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 12, 2022) – Late Sunday evening, a man was pronounced dead after a pedestrian collision on 94 Freeway.
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 10:58 p.m., on April 3. Crews arrived to the scene in the Golden Hills neighborhood near 28th Street.
Upon arrival, police located the male pedestrian down on the westbound lanes of the highway, in the No. 1 lane.
Based on the initial investigation, one witness reported hearing a male yelling that he had been hit by a vehicle following the incident. Responders attempted to resuscitate the pedestrian, but by 11:25 p.m., he had died at the scene.
