66-Year-Old Bicyclist Fatally Struck in Collision near Thomas Road

PHOENIX, AZ (April 8, 2022) – Early Wednesday morning, 66-year-old Jesus Quintanilla was killed in a bicycle accident on 32nd Street.

Police responded to the scene around 11:00 p.m., near Thomas Road on April 2nd. Per reports, the driver of a passing vehicle struck the cyclist as he was riding along the road.

At this time, further details leading up to the collision remain unclear. However, investigators say the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.

Medics arrived and transported Quintanilla to a nearby hospital where he later died.
