Astha Rajyaguru Arrested after Vehicle Crash on Midland Road [Poway, CA]

59-Year-Old Rider Dies in Traffic Collision near Midland Elementary School

POWAY, CA (April 4, 2022) – Friday evening, authorities arrested Astha Rajyaguru after a vehicle crash on Midland Road.

The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. on Midland Road near Midland Elementary School.

Furthermore, according to the California Highway Patrol, Rajyaguru, who was driving a sedan, rear-ended a motorcycle parked on the right shoulder of the road for unknown reasons.

Eventually, despite life-saving efforts, first responders pronounced the 59-year-old male rider dead on the scene.

Meanwhile, officials reported it is still unknown if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the collision.

Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Investigators encourage witnesses to cooperate and reach out to authorities as soon as possible. Poway Police will release additional information once it becomes available.
