Juan Brizuela Arrested after Pursuit Ends in Crash on Slover Avenue [Rialto, CA]
Vehicle Accident on Jurupa Valley Left One Arrested
RIALTO, CA (March 31, 2022) – On Monday, authorities arrested Juan Brizuela after crashing into a tractor-trailer following a police pursuit.
Initially, the police received a report of a stolen Honda CRV in the area of Jurupa and Slover Avenues in Southern Fontana.
Afterward, officers checked the area and failed to locate the vehicle.
However, authorities managed to locate a black 2015 Ford F150 with stolen plates.
Consequently, the officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the F150 immediately sped away and continued east on I-10 exiting on Riverside Avenue.
The F150 sped south on Riverside and ran a red light at Slover.
Eventually, it collided with a tractor-trailer turning north onto Riverside and trapped 38-year-old Juan Brizuela inside.
The responders extricated Brizuela and two unharmed French bulldogs.
At this time, Brizuela remained in West Valley Detention Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Upon release, he will be booked due to two warrants from LA County and Imperial County and three open felony charges.
Rialto officials continue to investigate the crash.
