2 Injured in Two-Car Collision on Shields Avenue [Fresno, CA]

2 Drivers Hospitalized after Vehicle Crash near Glenn Avenue

FRESNO, CA (March 18, 2022) – On Monday, at least two individuals sustained injuries in a two-car collision on Shields Avenue, police said.

The incident took place in the area of Shields Avenue near Glenn Avenue on March 14th.

Furthermore, according to the California Highway Patrol, they responded to a report of a collision between two vehicles.

Eventually, officials arrived and found the wreck and a broken fire hydrant.

Moreover, the collision caused water from the hydrant to flood the area.

Meanwhile, paramedics took the two drivers from the involved cars to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On the other hand, officials closed the area for several hours as emergency crews cleared the road and shut the water from the hydrant to avoid further issues.

As of this time, the CHP has no further information of the crash however an active investigation is underway.
