Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Accident on Vermont Avenue

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 15, 2022) – Early Saturday evening, a woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on 149th Street.

Around 6:15 p.m., police responded to the intersection of 149th Street and Vermont Avenue after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

Per reports, a woman was walking within a marked crosswalk when the driver of a Toyota Prius struck her. Due to the impact of the collision, the female pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries.

Medics arrived and transported the pedestrian for further treatment. However, crews later pronounced the severely injured woman dead at the hospital. At this time, authorities have not yet released her identity.

Additionally, officers did not disclose further details about the driver of the Prius.
