Male Driver Killed in Two-Car Collision on Main Street [San Diego, CA]
41-Year-Old Man Dies in Traffic Collision on Main Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 15, 2022) – Wednesday night, one man was pronounced dead after a two-car collision on Main Street.
According to reports, the crash happened around 7:50 p.m., in the 3300 block of Main Street. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
Investigators say a man driving a westbound silver 2007 Saturn approached a red light at the Interstate 15 off-ramp. There, he drove left around two stopped vehicles and clipped the rear a black 2005 Ford Focus.
The Ford was driven by a woman who was attempting to turn eastbound onto Main Street. As a result, the woman spun through the intersection and slammed into the concrete railing.
Due to the impact of the collision, the 41-year-old man driving the Saturn died at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.
At this time, San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division officers are still investigating the deadly crash.
