59-Year-Old Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Accident near Heacock Street
MORENO VALLEY, CA (February 15, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, Thomas Reese died after a hit-and-run crash on Sunnymead Boulevard.
According to Riverside Country Police, the collision occurred just before 3:00 a.m., on February 12th.
Police located the unresponsive pedestrian on the roadway as they were traveling west on Sunnymead, just east of Heacock Street. Eventually, authorities identified the victim as 59-year-old Reese, of Moreno Valley who died at the scene.
The victim suffered injuries that were indicative of being struck by a vehicle. Moreover, investigators later found that the victim had been crossing the street when he was struck by a westbound vehicle.
Upon impact, the involved driver fled the scene and is currently being sought out by authorities.
