25-Year-Old Died in Multi-Vehicle Crash near Healdburg Avenue
HEALDSBURG, CA (February 14, 2022) – Audrey Jawor died Monday afternoon in a five-car collision on Highway 101, authorities said.
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash happened before 1:38 p.m., on February 7. Dispatchers arrived to the scene near Healdsburg Avenue and Old Redwood Highway.
Police said 25-year-old Jawor, of Carlsbad was riding in the back seat of a black Hyundai SUV on southbound 101 when a Dodge pickup-truck struck the Hyundai.
First responders arrived and despite life-saving efforts, pronounced Jawor dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver and the front passenger of the SUV suffered minor to moderate injuries.
According to preliminary investigation, the Dodge pickup-truck was being driven by a 47-year-old Santa Rosa man. Investigators say he was traveling at an unsafe speed given slowing traffic ahead for roadway construction.
Apart from the black Hyundai SUV, the Dodge driver also collided with a Subaru, a Chevrolet pickup, and a blue Hyundai.
The Dodge driver cooperated with the investigation and was later taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
At this time, Police do not believe drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
