25-Year-Old Driver Killed after Two-Vehicle Collision at Ely Street
KENNEWICK, WA (January 31, 2022) – 25-year-old Angel Mendoza lost his life in a two-vehicle crash at Ely Street on Monday.
The accident happened around 7:18 p.m., along South Ely Street near West 31st Avenue
According to investigators, Mendoza lost control of his southbound 2021 Mercedes Benz. Consequently, his car then entered the northbound lane and collided with a 2010 Jeep Wrangler.
Moreover, Mendoza was pronounce dead at the scene, and two individuals inside the Jeep sustained injuries from the crash.
Additionally, responding paramedics rushed the Jeep occupants to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
At this time, officials have no information about their current conditions.
Furthermore, the police determined that speed had a role in the deadly crash, however, an active investigation is underway.
