1 Dead after Fatal Pursuit Collision on West Lathrop Road
MANTECA, CA (February 10, 2022) – Sunday, Eric Gray was killed in a solo-vehicle pursuit crash on North Union Road.
The incident started in the area of North Union Road and West Lathrop Road, on January 16.
Officers pursued the suspect westbound on W Lathrop Road at a high rate of speed. Eventually, the suspect’s car then collided with a fixed object as it traveled over the flyover just west of North Airport Road.
The collision sent the car off the road and down the overpass embankment, where it sustained substantial damage. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, paramedics declared 35-year-old Gray, of Oakdale dead at the scene, according to authorities.
