Motorcycle Crash on Highway 165 near Fowler Road Left One Hurt

HILMAR, CA (January 25, 2022) – A motorcycle crash on Highway 165 left Melo Toste Correia with major injuries Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened around 2:37 p.m. at Highway 165 near Fowler Road, authorities said.

Furthermore, according to the report, a northbound 1999 Honda Accord driven by a 76-year-old woman made a left turn along the highway.

Consequently, her car collided with a 2002 Kawasaki ZX600 driven by Melo Toste Correia.

In addition, witnesses claimed that Correia drove at about 80 mph passing other vehicles.

Afterward, Correia continued another 80 feet until the bike hit a cable box, ejecting the rider from the motorcycle.

Correia sustained lacerations to his head and possibly internal bleeding.

Meanwhile, paramedics also took the Accord driver to Modesto-area hospital as a precaution.
