David Weir Hurt in Hit-and-Run Crash on Pines Road [Spokane Valley, CA]
Suspect at Large after Hit-and-Run Collision on Sprague Avenue
SPOKANE VALLEY, CA (January 19, 2022) – Saturday, 65-year-old David Weir sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Pines Road.
The incident happened near the intersection of Pines Road and Sprague Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
California Highway Patrol officers say a 2008 Subaru Outback traveling north failed to yield at a red light and hit an eastbound 2000 Chevy Blazer heading east on Sprague Avenue.
Responding officers arrived and transported the Chevy driver, Weir, to MultiCare Valley Hospital in Spokane Valley with unspecified injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver and female passenger of the Subaru fled the scene after the crash. At this time officials have not released any information about the reportedly suspects, however, an active investigation is underway.
Spokane Police continue to ask anyone with information about the driver to call them at their local offices.
