51-Year-Old Man Killed in Fatal Auto Collision on David Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 14, 2022) – Tuesday, 51-year-old Francisco Resendiz lost his life in a car crash on Mettler Frontage Road.
The crash happened in the area of David Road, just east of Mettler Frontage Road.
According to California Highway Patrol, Resendiz was driving a Ford Ranger westbound on David Road when he attempted to pass other cars and collided with an oncoming Toyota Tundra.
Due to the impact of the collision, Resendiz suffered serious injuries. Despite life-saving attempts, responding medics pronounced Resendiz dead at the scene.
However, officials have no further information about the other driver involved.
Authorities did not consider drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the accident. However, an investigation is currently underway.
