Israel Douglas Arrested after DUI Car Accident on South Cedar Avenue [Fresno, CA]

Man Seriously Injured in DUI Collision on East Florence Avenue

FRESNO, CA (December 7, 2021) – Tuesday night, Israel Douglas was arrested after a DUI car accident on South Cedar Avenue.

Police responded to the scene around 6:00 p.m., at the intersection of South Cedar and East Florence Avenue. Per reports, an Amazon truck driver was pulling out of the distribution center when he was hit by Douglas.

Upon arrival, officers located the 23-year-old Amazon driver pinned inside the vehicle. Medics say he suffered major injuries as a result of the collision.

Paramedics arrived and rushed the severely injured driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Although, there has been no update on his current condition.

Douglas remained uninjured, while his three passengers sustained minor wounds.

During preliminary duties, officers determined that Douglas was under the influence of alcohol. As a result, police booked him into the Fresno County Jail on charges of DUI causing great bodily injury, and driving without a license.

Authorities have not yet identified the severely injured driver. Once available, further details will be provided.
