12-Year-Old Skateboarder Dead after Collision on Kachina Trail

KACHINA VILLAGE, AZ (December 6, 2021) – Sunday afternoon, a 12-year-old skateboarder was killed in a car crash in Coconino County.

Police responded at the junction of Kachina Trail and Canyon Loop in Kachina Village shortly before 1:00 p.m.

According to officials, the car struck the victim while riding a skateboard. However, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear.

The surrounding area was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties, but has since reopened. At this time, the fatal collision is still under active investigation.
