DUI Accident on Meridian Street Left One Dead

PUYALLUP, WA (December 1, 2021) – One unidentified person died early Sunday morning after a DUI accident on Meridian Street.

The incident took place just before 4:45 a.m., on South Meridian Street near 31st Avenue. Dispatchers responded to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, a suspected drunk driver took off the road and struck the pedestrian. Due to the impact, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, officials did not get a description of the suspect or the vehicle.
