27-Year-Old Driver Killed, Passenger Hurt in Oceanside Car Accident near Autumn Drive

OCEANSIDE, CA (November 16, 2021) – Sunday morning, Edgar Soto was killed, and his passenger was hurt in a collision on North Avenue.

Officers responded to the scene around 7:18 a.m., at the 4500 block of North Avenue.

Per reports, Soto was driving on the road when he lost control and veered across all lanes before traveling down an embankment. The car then came to a rest after colliding with a tree.

Paramedics arrived and transported both the driver and the passenger to a nearby hospital for further treatment. However, 27-year-old Soto, of Oceanside was pronounced dead while being transported.

At this time, authorities have not released the identity of the male passenger who survived.

No further details have been provided. Although, an active investigation to determine more information remains ongoing.
