SANTA CRUZ, CA (November 10, 2021) – A DUI crash near 17th avenue left a bicyclist injured Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around 11:43 a.m. near the intersection of 17th Avenue and East Cliff Drive.
According to the responding authorities, they made contact with a witness who followed the driver as the suspect fled the scene.
Eventually, the deputies tracked down the driver who admitted to hitting the bicyclist on purpose.
Later on, the CHP arrested the driver for DUI.
