Fatal Auto Collision near Bailey Avenue in San Jose

SAN JOSE, CA (October 20, 2021) A deadly crash on Highway 101 claimed the life of a 25-year-old man early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m., on the highway just north of Bailey Avenue. Emergency crews arrived to the area shortly after.

According to authorities, a southbound 2015 Nissan sedan overturned after it collided with a 2014 Honda. As a result, the collision ejected the Nissan driver, leaving him dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the Honda driver remained uninjured.

At this time, authorities have yet to confirm if drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were closed for cleanup for an unspecified amount of time.

The California Highway Patrol is now investigating the Highway 101 crash.
