One Killed in Semi-Truck Crash on Mount Whitney [Fresno, CA]
Mount Whitney Semi-Truck Crash Left at Least One Fatality
FRESNO, CA (October 18, 2021) – The CHP are investigating a semi-truck crash on Mount Whitney that left one person dead, Thursday afternoon.
The fatal incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Mount Whitney and Cedar, between Riverdale and Laton.
According to the investigation, a white Mercedes crashed into the trailer of a semi-truck crossing Mount Whitney.
Afterwards, the car went under the truck and continued off the road, throwing the driver out of the car.
Unfortunately, the driver died at the scene, who has not been identified at this time.
Fresno officials claimed that speed is suspected to be a factor in the semi-truck crash.
