At Least 2 Hurt in Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 371

AGUANGA, CA (October 18, 2021) – Two individuals, including a child, sustained injuries after a two-vehicle accident on Highway 371 and Highway 79 on Wednesday.

The incident occurred at 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Highways 371 and 79.

According to reports, a sewage tanker truck carrying around 2,300 gallons of sewage attempted to cut the curve too tight and lost control. After then, the vehicle turned over and landed on a Ford Expedition.

Responding rescuers extricated one individual trapped inside the SUV. Then paramedics airlifted the victim to the hospital with major injuries.

Other medics took another patient with life-threatening injuries to a local hospital.

Meanwhile, the truck’s driver was unharmed and stayed at the scene, according to officials.

Furthermore, officials dispatched Hazmat teams to the area to mop up the chemicals spilled from the truck.
