Sonoma County Pickup Driver Killed on Bus Collision
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (October 12, 2021) – On Thursday, a collision between a pickup truck and Sonoma County transit bus left one person dead near Guerneville.
The incident occurred before noon east of Guerneville in front of Korbel Winery at 13250 River Road, CHP said.
According to the investigators, a Toyota Tacoma veered onto the opposite lanes while heading east River Road and collided with a bus.
As a result, the bus pushed the pickup a short distance before both came to rest.
Around 3:30 P.M., Sonoma County officials cleared out the scene on the westbound lane of River Road.
Unfortunately, one individual was declared dead at the scene and has not yet been identified.
The authorities are investigating the collision near Guerneville.
At this time, the identity of the deceased victim and the circumstances surrounding the bus and pickup collision remains unclear.
