Pedestrian Hospitalized after Collision near Cedar Avenue

FRESNO, CA (October 5, 2021) – Monday night, a man who was jay walking was struck and injured in a pedestrian accident on Kings Canyon Road.

Officers responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m., after receiving dispatch calls in the area.

Per reports, a man was walking outside of a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Kings Canyon Road and Cedar Avenue. There, a passing vehicle struck him.

Emergency crews arrived shortly after and located a man in his 40s suffering from moderate injuries. However, his identity has not been released.

In addition, the surrounding area was closed briefly during cleanup and preliminary duties. But, the road has since reopened to traffic.
