Danny Zuluaga Gonzalez Charged after Deadly Crash on Charleston Boulevard [Las Vegas, NV]

1 Killed in Fatal Multi-Car Collision on Lamb Boulevard in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV (October 1, 2021) – Early Monday morning, Danny Zuluaga Gonzalez was charged with DUI after a crash on Charleston Boulevard.

The fatal accident happened around 2:03 a.m., at the intersection of Charleston and Lamb Boulevard. Emergency crews responded to the area shortly after receiving dispatch calls.

Gonzalez was driving a 2020 Toyota Corolla heading west on Charleston Boulevard. For reasons unknown, he then drove through the red light at the intersection of Charleston and Lamb Boulevard.

There, he collided with another southbound 2020 Toyota Corolla, driven by a 22-year-old man. The driver and his 21-year-old female passenger were both taken to University Medical Center, where the driver was pronounced dead.

In addition, the female passenger is said to be in critical condition.

Crews on scene assisted Gonzalez out of his vehicle. He complained of internal injuries was then transported to a hospital for further treatment.

Officers say Gonzalez smelled of alcohol and had blood shot eyes. The authorities then attempted to perform a sobriety test. However, Gonzalez refused and officers received a warrant to obtain two blood samples.

Per reports, Gonzalez faces charges of DUI resulting in death, DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm, and reckless driving resulting in substantial bodily harm.
