Palmdale Traffic Collision Resulted to Multi-Vehicle Crash and One Fatality

PALMDALE, CA (September 8, 2021) – A fatal multi-vehicle crash along Avenue M claimed the life of Tricone Raymond Sandford last Tuesday, authorities said.

The collision occurred around 11:11 A.M. on August 31 at the Avenue M east of 30th Street East, according to the report by the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.

Apparently, a 1998 Chevy Suburban veered into No. 1 eastbound lanes while traveling on the No. 2 lanes of Avenue M.

As a result, the SUV collided with a 2013 Ford Fiesta, sending both vehicles into the westbound lanes along the same avenue.

Ultimately, the two vehicles came to rest after getting struck by a big-rig hauling two trailers of hay, authorities said.

Tragically, the first responders pronounced 44-year-old Tricone Raymond Sandford of Lancaster dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported the Ford driver to a hospital who sustained Moderate injuries.
