Woman Hospitalized after Pickup-Truck vs Cement-Truck Collision near Superstition Freeway
MESA, AZ (February 24, 2025) – Tuesday morning, Aymee Ruiz was hospitalized following a fiery cement-truck crash on U.S. 60.
The incident happened just before 7:00 a.m., on Superstition Freeway near Val Vista Drive on February 18th.
According to reports, a woman slowed down in traffic when a cement mixer hit her pickup-truck, setting it on fire.
Chandler Police Officer Brian Larison, saw the crash on his way to work and stopped to help before emergency crews arrived. He immediately worked to extricate Ruiz from the burning vehicle, saving her life.
Paramedics arrived and transported Aymee Ruiz to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
