Two-Vehicle Crash near Parker Place Left Motorcyclist Dead

YOLO COUNTY, CA (February 20, 2025) – A motorcycle-SUV collision on Highway 16 in Yolo County took the life of a rider early Sunday morning. 

The deadly crash happened around 2:15 a.m. along the westbound lanes of Highway 16, just east of Parker Place in the neighborhood of Esparto.

Investigators say the rider of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was traveling behind a Chevrolet SUV when the collision occurred. 

However, the reason behind the crash remains under investigation, according to the CHP Woodland Area Office. 

Responding emergency personnel pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The Yolo County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased rider once available. 

It was unclear if the driver of the SUV received injuries from the incident. Police do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
