Woman Pronounced Dead after Sedan vs Pedestrian Collision at San Ysidro Boulevard
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 19, 2025) – Early Monday morning, one woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 805.
Officials responded to the scene around 6:00 a.m., along southbound Interstate 805 near San Ysidro Boulevard.
According to investigators, a 50-year-old man driving a white Honda Accord hit the woman along the freeway.
However, further circumstances leading up to the incident remain under investigation.
First responders transported the female victim to a local hospital where she died from her injuries.
Meanwhile, the Accord driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. At this time, officers are waiting for a toxicology report for them to determine if intoxication played a role in the crash.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
