Solo-Vehicle Crash near Spring Creek Parkway Resulted in Fire and Injury

PLANO, TX (February 18, 2025) – Early Thursday, a man and Trooper Cody Durham were hospitalized after a fiery crash on Dallas North Tollway.

On January 9th, around 2:20 a.m., police officers were dispatched to the northbound lanes near the Spring Creek Parkway.

According to Trooper Cody Durham, he was making his rounds along the area when he spotted the vehicle releasing smoke and the driver trapped inside.

Durham rushed to extricate the driver while the vehicle was still on fire. Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to Medical City Plano for further treatment.

Meanwhile, crews took Durham to Plano Presbyterian Hospital for further evaluation of smoke inhalation.

Moreover, Trooper Cody Durham was released, and no updates on the driver’s condition were made public. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information about the crash is still currently underway.
