Driver Killed in Semi-Truck Collision on Interstate 5 [Walnut Grove, CA]
One Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Crash near Twin Cities Road
WALNUT GROVE, CA (February 18, 2025) – A truck vs. car collision on Interstate 5 took the life of one driver, early Thursday morning.
Authorities responded to the scene around 5:00 a.m., just south of Twin Cities Road near Walnut Grove.
California Highway Patrol officers say a big-rig jackknifed and trapped a sedan underneath the trailer.
First responders declared the sedan driver dead at the scene. Police said the driver of the tractor-trailer escaped injuries from the incident.
Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased driver at this time.
The collision blocked the southbound Interstate 5 near Twin Cities Road. Sacramento County continues to investigate the I-5 truck vs. car collision.
