Three Pronounced Dead after Auto Collision near Southern Avenue
MESA, AZ (February 17, 2025) – Monday morning, Damarya Zyberi, Troy Garlock, and Elsie Garlock died in a reckless crash on Val Vista Drive.
The incident happened around 8:00 a.m., near the intersection of Val Vista Drive and Southern Avenue on February 3rd.
According to the Mesa Police Department, Damarya stole a Ford F-250 and began heading north on Val Vista Drive. The Ford then veered across the lanes and collided head-on with a Nissan Altima, driven by Troy.
In addition, the Nissan had 8-year-old Elsie and Mabel Garlock as passengers.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 42-year-old Troy and 29-year-old Damarya dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported Elsie and 6-year-old Mabel to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, Elsie later succumbed to her injuries.
No additional information was added by authorities, and the incident remains under investigation.
