71-Year-Old Vineyard Woman Dead after SUV Vs. Pedestrian Collision near Robbins Road

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (February 13, 2025) – Sunday evening, a pedestrian crash on Elk Grove Road took the life of Nam Hoa Chiem. 

The incident happened around 6:15 p.m., at the intersection of Elk Grove Florin and Robbins roads.

Investigators claimed that a 78-year-old man driving a southbound Subaru Outback hit the woman in the left-most lane. 

According to reports, the female pedestrian was attempting to cross Elk Grove Florin Road when the incident occurred. 

First responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Later, the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased victim as 71-year-old Nam Hoa Chiem of Sacramento. 

California Highway Patrol officers said the Subaru driver remained at the site of the incident and cooperated with the investigation.
