63-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near 1st Street

FAIRFIELD, CA (February 12, 2025) – Wednesday evening, Robert McPherson was killed in a motorcycle accident on West Texas Street.

Police officers responded to the scene around 8:05 p.m., in the area of West Texas Street and 1st Street. 

Authorities determined that a vehicle was heading west in the center lane on West Texas Street and turned left into the Circle K driveway. 

Investigators said the vehicle turned directly into the path of a motorcyclist traveling west on the same street, resulting in a collision. 

Responding medical personnel pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. Fairfield Officials later identified the deceased rider as 63-year-old Robert McPherson. 

According to reports, the 68-year-old driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the crash site.

Police reported no other injuries from the incident. Fairfield Officials closed the West Texas Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and Gregory Lane for several hours to clear the scene.
